Circa 1895–1910, American, late Victorian/early 20th century

Handsome American quarter-sawn oak china or curio cabinet dating to circa 1900, featuring an elegant bow-front form with curved glass side panels and a large central glazed door. The cabinet is surmounted by an architectural carved oak crest centered by a shaped beveled mirror, with deeply carved stylized foliate scroll decoration.

The richly figured quarter-sawn oak displays attractive grain throughout, particularly across the crest and interior. The single locking door opens to a fitted display interior with multiple shaped wooden shelves, while the curved glass ends provide excellent visibility from several angles. Raised on four graceful shaped legs, the cabinet combines the decorative qualities of late Victorian furniture with the lighter proportions that became popular around the turn of the 20th century.

Good antique condition, with wear consistent with age and use. The oak retains an attractive warm finish with scattered surface wear, scratches, finish variation, and minor marks. Some more noticeable wear and scratching is visible on the top surface. Glass and beveled mirror appear generally intact from the photographs. Interior shelves show normal age-related wear. Lock is present with decorative tassel; key/lock operation should be confirmed before listing as functional. Structurally the cabinet appears sound.
