English, Edwardian period; Sheraton/Adam Revival influence.

Elegant antique English Edwardian wardrobe crafted in richly figured mahogany and beautifully embellished with contrasting satinwood-style stringing and decorative marquetry. The architectural façade features rounded projecting side sections decorated with classical urn, swag, ribbon and bellflower motifs above deeply carved fan or shell ornaments.

The central wardrobe door incorporates a tall oval beveled mirror, retaining period-style escutcheon hardware and a decorative tassel. Opening the door reveals a spacious fitted interior with hanging rail and multiple hooks. A large full-width lower drawer provides additional storage and displays traditional dovetailed construction and graceful metal bail pulls.

The restrained classical ornament, warm mahogany color, curved architectural elements and fine inlay are characteristic of the Edwardian revival of late 18th-century Sheraton and Adam designs. A particularly attractive wardrobe that offers both decorative presence and practical storage.

Good antique condition, with wear consistent with age and use. Surface scratches, finish wear, small abrasions, scattered marks and minor losses are visible.  Interior shows normal use wear.
