A handsome French Napoleon III style tabletop display cabinet or étagère featuring an ebonized finish accented by red Boulle-inspired decoration and finely cast gilt-brass mounts. The gallery top is surrounded by an ornate pierced brass railing above a case fitted with two drawers and an open display compartment. Gilt-brass appliqués decorate the corners and edges, while the richly ornamented drawer fronts provide striking contrast against the black lacquered finish. Ideal for displaying fine collectibles, jewelry, small bronzes, or objets d’art, this elegant cabinet embodies the refined decorative taste of the Second Empire period and makes an impressive accent in traditional or eclectic interiors.

Condition:
Good antique condition. Exhibits age-related wear including scattered finish losses, shrinkage cracks, and surface abrasions. Lower bottom right side of back panel has a significant cracking, while the remaining glass panels appear intact. Brass gallery and decorative mounts show oxidation and minor bends or losses. Drawers operate properly and retain hand-cut dovetail construction. Structurally stable and displays well despite noted imperfections. See all photos for condition.
