A charming and decorative antique Victorian Rococo Revival side chair, crafted in solid walnut and dating to the late 19th century. The elegantly shaped frame features a richly carved crest rail with scrolling acanthus motifs, flowing into gracefully curved stiles and cabriole front legs. The serpentine silhouette and pierced splat reflect the romantic, highly ornamental aesthetic of the Rococo Revival period.
The chair retains its vintage upholstery, showcasing deep burgundy velvet borders framing hand-worked floral needlepoint panels to both the back and seat.
