Description
Description:
Striking vintage Chinoiserie-style four-panel folding screen decorated in a rich black lacquer finish with hand-painted Asian-inspired scenes on both sides. One side features graceful bamboo and wading cranes rendered in soft green, ivory, and coral tones, while the reverse displays an elaborate garden landscape with bamboo, flowering plants, birds in flight, and decorative gilt borders. Brass hinges and brass-capped feet complete the classic presentation. A versatile statement piece ideal as a room divider, decorative backdrop, privacy screen, or architectural accent in traditional, Hollywood Regency, Asian-inspired, or eclectic interiors.
Condition:
Good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear. Surface exhibits scattered scratches, scuffs, finish losses, edge wear, and several chips to the lacquer, primarily along corners and panel edges. Decorative artwork remains vibrant and displays well. Hinges are secure, and the screen folds and stands properly. An attractive decorative piece with authentic vintage character.
