Distinctive circa 1920s curved hall bench featuring a beautifully crafted wrought iron frame accented with bronze highlights and decorative nautical ship medallions. The gracefully arched form is supported by an ornate forged iron base with scrolling bronze embellishments and hammered details, creating an impressive blend of Art Deco and Mediterranean Revival influences. The generously padded seat retains its cream patterned upholstery, making this an elegant statement piece for an entry hall, foyer, gallery, or sunroom.
Condition:
Good vintage condition. Structurally sound with an attractive aged patina to the iron and bronze. Upholstery remains usable with light staining, minor wear, and fraying to portions of the underside edge consistent with age. Metal frame exhibits expected oxidation, finish wear, and patination that enhance its antique character. One piece of scrollwork missing from a center foot. See all photos for condition.
