A finely crafted Chinese horseshoe-back armchair (quanyi) in richly figured hongmu hardwood, inspired by classic Ming Dynasty forms. The gracefully curved continuous crest rail flows into elegantly shaped arms, complemented by carved openwork splats featuring traditional Chinese longevity motifs. The shaped hardwood seat, rounded legs, and cross-stretcher base provide exceptional stability while emphasizing the refined proportions characteristic of traditional Chinese scholar’s furniture. Finished in a deep reddish-brown polish that beautifully highlights the wood grain, this timeless chair is equally suited for use as a desk chair, accent chair, or display piece in both traditional and contemporary interiors.
